Whether you’re an adult, teen or a child, losing fat is considered one of the hardest things you can do, but the point is that it can be done! So the question remains, how to lose weight?

First, find out from your doctor if you should lose fat and what that doctor recommends in order for you to do so.  The doctor will also tell you what a good rate of weight loss should be for you, and exactly how much weight you should lose.  Depending on what caused you to gain weight, the doctor may also describe an exercise program for you that is feasible.

Those people who go on extreme weight loss schemes will lose fat and rapidly too, however they will easily put it back on and most probably with the added surprise of additional weight too. Therefore, besides creating more weight in the long run, they are risking the most important thing to any human – their health!

If you are a child or teen, work with your parents and enlist their help to work out a diet plan for you that will enable you to change your eating habits and carefully lose the weight.  If you have a family with overweight people in your family, then enlist the help of each of them in creating meals, because if one has an input into a meal, for some reason it is much more satisfying.   Also do not forget to ask your friends to help you.  They can do things like steering you away from a high-sugar cola to drinking water instead, for example.  fat loss

As repetitious as this sounds, the goal is to use up the energy stored in your body faster than you replenish it. That means that you need more exercise and need to eat the right kinds of foods instead of calorie-laden foods.  Following an exercise plan is easier if you, again, enlist your family and friends to share it. The best exercise in the world is to walk, so you can even get the dog to help you.  You’ll be happier for it, and I guarantee that the dog will love you for it!

If you have young children, even they can help.  I assure you that if you have a regular 20 minutes a day to spend with them dancing to fast and loud music, they’ll have a ball and you’ll be doing your exercises in a way that you’ll love.

Eat smaller meals more frequently.  This causes your metabolism to increase, thus you’ll burn off fat more quickly as you eat lower-calories.  Make those smaller meals interesting.  Scour the Internet for lower-calorie recipes that not only taste good but also will be good for you. 

Bring a lower-calorie fruit snack with you when you are away from home in order to keep you away from those high-calorie fast foods found in the mall, for instance. One Big Mac has 540 calories in it, whereas one medium sized banana contains about 100.  Hmm, let’s see that’s about five and a quarter bananas…
